Calling Court Advocates

The 23rd District Court Advocates are looking for people who might be able to go to court tomorrow (Tuesday, April 13th). It's the case of Dennis Dawson, who is charged with beating and mugging an 85-year-old man in the elevator of the victim's own building, on Sheridan near Wilson, last January. The case is being heard in Courtroom 602 at 26th and California; cases start around 9:30am. You can call the 23rd District Community Policing Office for more information (312-744-0064) or just show up and look around for the other court advocates in the courtroom. (If you go to court, a reminder that cameras and food/drink are not allowed inside.)
