50 Aldermen / 50 Artists

This sounds like fun.  From the NY Times:  "If you’re not doing anything the evening of March 19, you might consider a visit to the Johalla Projects Gallery in Wicker Park for the opening of the “Aldermen Project: 50 Aldermen/50 Artists” show."  Read about it here.  Artist Jon Hisel is doing the portrait of Ald. Smith; we don't know who's assigned to Alds. Schulter and Shiller.  In any case, we're sure there's going to be plenty of buzz around the show and at least a couple 'controversial' portrayals.  "The “Aldermen Project: 50 Aldermen/50 Artists” will open at 7 p.m. on March 19 at the Johalla Projects Gallery, 1561 North Milwaukee Avenue; www.chicagoaldermenproject.blogspot.com."
