It was the best of times.

    Oh the irony.

Dere's more IRONy here than in an Upper Peninsula Iron mine.

  2. This just in: Carothers convicted.

I'm really sad about this. Not for the pol and his pals - but for the people who have bought houses in the Galewood development and now see their neighborhood's reputation "tainted." I actually saw this collection of houses, townhomes and condos last year and was very impressed with the prices and quality of the spaces. A typical house was priced about half of what its equivalent would be in "better" (north side) nabes.

The development was hitting hard times, as has been the case everywhere, but it was a "noble experiment." I hope it "comes back" soon.

Yes, Michael Jackson's former defense attorney.

  4. It would set a bad precedent for an alderman to comply with a subpoena??? Well gosh, they're all so busy covering each other's butts, who has time to testify!!

  5. If you don't have anything to hide you don't have a problem with the Subpoena's.

I am sure Carothers has some good stuff on all of them on tape and video.

  6. This is silly. A silly silly story. What a complete waste of taxpayer time and energy. You guys are chasing no story whatsoever.

  12. And to think... Carothers was chairman of the Ethics Committee. I hope he has tape on all the corrupt alderman and especially the untouchable King Richard II.
