We heard from Amy Dressel, leasing associate with Joseph Freed:
"I just wanted to spread the word about a great new lease offer at our Uptown Square property (Borders, T-Mobile, Agami, Soggy Paws, Body Fit) - perhaps you can add to the blog? We have a 791 sf vacancy available immediately adjacent to Borders and we are offering 6 months of free rent for a limited time. The space is in excellent condition - perfect for an office or retail user. Rent is around $2,100 per month including CAM, insurance, and real estate taxes. Please call Amy at 312.675.5397 or email adressel@jfreed.com if interested."
Can you think of some businesses you would like to see in this space?
doggy day care! if i had any seed money, i'd jump on it.
ReplyDeleteVerizon would be great - they don't have much of any stores outside of the Loop.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Cricket? haha
We just heard back from Amy and she tells us that T-Mobile has an exclusivity agreement so no other cell phone operator can open next door so that rules that out. Any other suggestions?
ReplyDeletePotbelly's/Chipolte!
ReplyDeletePanchero's! I really wish someone would bring it to Chicago...I've been craving it ever since leaving Iowa City.
ReplyDeleteSo does this mean the "Border's is going to shrink" rumors are true?
ReplyDeleteI am all for a Chipotle, Potbelly's, Cosi or anything of the sort to go there. It would bring some desperately needed foot traffic to the area.
No, this space is the former "Planet Smoothie" space that has been vacant for years.
ReplyDeleteREAL ESTATE SALES OFFICE!
ReplyDeleteColdewell-Banker, Century 21, Remax, ARE YOU LISTENING?
ACORN office. lol
ReplyDeleteHow about a campaign office for Helen's next opponent? I'll chip in for that!
It's in the 48th Ward. That alone should make it an attractive option.
ReplyDeletegah! just say no to cosi/corner bakery/Au Bon Pain. The local coffeeshops provide the coffee/sandwich/wifi niche quire well thank you very much. Uptown doesn't have a petstore that I know of. Where can I get emergency fish food??
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of the 48th ward and a neighbor of this great building...does UU have any updates on how the Riviera is able to get away with having a plastic diaper on its facade for the past year? They put it up and it looks pretty ghetto....thanks!
ReplyDeleteI would LOOOOVE potbelly's there!
