Not The Sharpest Tool In The Shed

A self-admitted gang member and convicted felon was busted for impersonating a police officer when he attempted to assist Belmont Area 3 tactical team officers in a traffic stop on Monday evening.

Police officers were conducting a traffic stop in the 1200 block of West Wilson at approximately 11:20 p.m. Dec. 1, when they were approached by Jason Gurneau, 29.

Gurneau asked the officers, “Do need any assistance?” while displaying a police-type badge. Not believing that the badge was authentic, the officers became suspicious of Gurneau’s actions. Police proceeded to ask Gurneau for proper police identification. Continue Reading
