Summer Fest – Taste of Lourdes will be held this Saturday, July 18, 2009 from 6:00 – 10:00pm, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 4640 N. Ashland. World Class Noise will be performing (led by former student Marc Polido). No carnival rides, just games, wonderful food and great music. The hope is to locate all Alumni from every year!

"No carnival rides"...too bad! A few years ago OLL was one of the best church fund-raisers of the summer season. They had carnival rides, games of chance, "fun food" and bingo.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if their change in "policy" for summer fund-raising was due to insurance matters, lack of parish participation or what, but it certainly has made for a duller social season in West Uptown/East Ravenswood.
