A reader sent in this photo of the Uptown Broadway Building's window. Is it possible there's a tenant ready to move in? Or is this sign here because Space Architects designed the rehab of the building?
The sooner this magnificent building gets occupied, the happier we'll be.
They did some of the rehab on the building... it's listed on their web site. http://www.spacearchplan.com/ under "commercial".
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteThanks for noticing!
We actually did all of the work on the building and are very excited to be done...until we find some tenants!
Check out our website...
Jean, you have a tenant. A homeless man moved in three days ago. He's living in one of your doorways with his box and blankets. Second storefront (third door) from the north.
ReplyDeleteChuck, you can help this guy by calling 911 when you see him and requesting a premise check with the exact address. The call taker will ask a few questions and pass the info along to the dispatcher.
ReplyDeleteIt may take a few visits from an officer to convince this individual to accept help but it's the best avenue to pursue. Thanks for bringing this situation to our attention.
Yeah, no. Seeing a perfectly capable homeless person in a doorway is not an anomoly here in Uptown Jon. If I called 911 for every one I saw every day I would spend the rest of my life on the phone and never get my job done. This isn't suburbia. Should I also call 911 each time I'm panhandled so that that person is directed to the appropriate city service, too? I don't think so. I think I'll let the folks at @properties deal with it.
ReplyDeleteI was sincere when I thanked you for pointing out this camper. I'm not out and about at that time of day.
ReplyDeleteIn the time it took you to write your post you could have called 911 and described the situation.
