Lakefront Parkers Escape Rate Hikes

Even though parking meter rates are now increasing across the North Side, the rates at the five-hour parking Waveland lot, 3800 N. Recreation Drive., are not expected to rise immediately because the lot is operated by the park district, not the city. Drivers in nearby highrises worried their regular parking at the lot could be affected when they heard new parking meter rate rules were being implemented. Read more here.
