Highrise A 'No Go?'

A reader writes in with the following photo:
"I don't know if the SE corner of Irving/Sheridan has been covered here before, but I recall it being discussed on Buena Park Neighbors. Anyway, they were to build what I believe was a 16 story condo midrise in this former Shell station lot. Today I snapped a pic of an "available" sign, so that's good news for us who weren't very happy about the condos. Seems like bets are off on the new building. Someone should let Walgreen's know it's for sale."

  1. I noticed a similar situation on a smaller lot at Diversy, Southport and Lincoln the other day.

  4. This is clearly a blighted area. A few blocks from the lack and Wrigley Field and right next to the Redline. There is no way anyone could build here without tax payer assistance. Oh wait that line was already used in the 46th.
