CPD Officer Michael Carroll, the Facilitator for CAPS Beats 2323 and 2324 and a resident of the 46th Ward, is participating in "Hustle Up the Hancock: Chicago's World Class Stair Climb" on February 22nd. Donations support the mission of Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago.
"Additionally, I will be making the climb in my full Chicago Police uniform in honor of Chicago Police Officers killed in the line of duty and the police in New York City who were killed along side the firefighters of New York City as they climbed to the top of the World Trade Center buildings on September 11th, 2001. I am climbing with members of the Chicago Fire Department who will also be climbing in honor of their fallen brethren.
