"We, the undersigned residents of Chicago, demand that the City of Chicago's Inspector General be given the full legal authority, by ordinance, to oversee and investigate all of City Hall, including the Office of Mayor and the 50 Ward Aldermen and their staff."

  1. Signed it.

Right now, there are 38 signatures. That's considerably too few for such an obvious endeavor.

  7. Well it is up to almost 100 now. Give it a few days I think most Chicago Tax payers want this to take place and would be happy to advocate for it.

  8. It will never happen, even if you get 100 million signatures.

Even if he did get the pwoer, they would just cut his budget.

  11. It might be more successful if the text were grammatically correct. It should be "oversee and investigate" rather than "oversight and investigate.".
