If you haven't checked out "
The Windy Citizen," you should. It's a great site that links to some of the best local bloggers in Chicago and it puts it all in one nicely laid out page. According to the site, it's a "crowd powered front page for Chicago." We will be adding a link off on the left.
They even linked to our lively street peddler posting.
Thanks for the shout-out UU!
ReplyDeleteThe Windy Citizen lets Chicago residents share, rate and discuss links to their favorite local stories. It's a place to show off and discuss cool local stuff from the web.
For instance today's top posts include:
A Rap song about Rod Blagojevich one someone found:
http://www.windycitizen.com/link/music/2009/01/the-blagojevich-rap
News the Chicago Public Radio's nominations for Chicago's Top Ten Visionaries ends today:

A creepy Craigslist Posting:

And a matte painting from a Hollywood artist imagining Chicago in 2055:

These are stories found by regular old Chicago people like you and me, posted to the site and then voted on by other users.
If you're into local politics, share local politics stories. If you're into local photography, share some cool local photos that caught your eye on the web.
We're looking to build the ultimate Chicago conversation and find some really neat stuff. There's so much great local stuff being published on the web every day. Together, we can find it and collect it in one place every day!

This is a really good chance for UU readers to help the rest of Chicago learn about whats going on in Uptown. Head on over, check out some articles and be sure to up-vote the important stories here at UU, ESPECIALLY the positive ones(i.e. the CAPS meet and greets and such).
