Halloween Events For Kids

There are a couple kid-friendly Halloween events in the area this weekend:

Borders' Halloween Spook-tacular, Saturday, October 25, 2-4pm: Dress up the family in Halloween costumes and enter our super-cool costume contest. Gather around for creepy, crawly tales during storytimes. Then the frights and fun continue with games, activities, and more. Plus, kids get a FREE cookie with any large beverage purchase at our Seattle's Best Coffee cafe. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or other legal guardian. (Free)

Halloween Haunted House: The 20th Police District's Haunted House will serve up spooky thrills on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 24-26, from 6-9pm at 5400 N. Lincoln. Designed for children 8 years and older, admission is $2 per person. The proceeds benefit 20th District Youth Programs. (courtesy of Ald. Mary Ann Smith's newsletter)

    News from the Great Pumpkinette

Members of the BPN Board will be hanging out at Nick's Uptown (Pool Room) on Sheridan Road - Sunday, 10/26 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. We will be stuffing donated candy into 150 donated CAPS bags that will be given out during the Buena Pumpkin neighbors safe trick or treating event.

If you see a bag or two or three of candy at the store that you might want to buy, and that you might want to donate, and if you feel like stopping by Nick's Uptown for a beer (on you), and want to drop off said candy, or are inspired to drop said candy into 150 bags and rub shoulders with the BPN Board (who are confirmed chocoholics) then please come over and help us out.

  2. I am not the great pumpkinette.

I merely pasted and copied some of the info above from the BPN webboard.

Although if I were a pumpkin I would look like this from now until election day.
