'R3 Salon' Now Open At Wilson & Dover

"Getting on the L this morning I got a brochure for the R3 Salon,
(www.r3salon.com). Now there's a good chance I'm just clueless
about the neighborhood, but I think this is a new salon. I'm going to
stop by in the next month and try a pedicure. Thought it might be nice
to get the word out there about this place."

We couldn't agree more. Check out "R3 Salon" right on the corner of Wilson and Dover.

  2. This makes me so happy! I was just thinking that someone should open a nail salon in the area, so it's within walking distance. I'll definitely be stopping by for a pedicure soon. Beats trekking to the one at Bryn Mawr and Broadway Yay!

  3. It looks to be a full-service salon and a quite nice one at that. We encourage everyone to check it out so we can show retail, "if they build it, we will come."

  5. Hopefully they'll offer gift cards that I can buy my wife. Being married to me isn't easy. She deserves this.

  6. I really needed a haircut, so I stopped in at R3 Salon after reading UU. I was pleasantly impressed! For the time being, the owner is the stylist, manicurist, everything! He is truly gifted. I am so happy with my cut and style. He was so excited to hear about being mentioned on UU! Go and visit R3 Salon and welcome him into the neighborhood!

  7. Well, as part of my savings plan, I had forgone haircuts, but since I live on Sunnyside and Dover, and I want to support local businesses, I'll have to check this place out. My hair is kinda long now anyway.

  9. What are the prices like? I have a very basic haircut that I usually pay like $10 for at BoRics or something. If a basic guys haircut is reasonable I wouldn't mind going local.

  10. Or I could just check the website and see the prices for myself... Sorry

  12. Thank you to the incredibly kind person that posted this. I had not heard of the site and I've had three people stop by because of your post! I REALLY Appreciate it!

And thank you to everyone for the well wishes. A couple quick notes in response to your posts:

-Yes, we will happily offer gift certificates for your convenience.

-To the many of you posting regardinng pedicures, please note that my pedicure cart is still on backorder after 5 weeks. I will ABSOLUTELY post here just as soon as it is in.

-Lastly, I am planning a Grand Opening Day for next Saturday the 27th of September. New and existing clients are invited to stop by, fill out a simple contact information sheet and draw a certificate for a percentage off. Make an appointment that same day and keep it prior to October 31st and you I will double the percentage off! And, if you are interested in sharing some time and meeting new neighbors, there will be a small reception from 6-8 with Wine/Soda and some nibbles in addition to the above.

Again, thank you everyone for your encouragement and warm welcome to the neighborhood!

  15. I stopped in for a hair cut two days ago--I received a very detailed cut and at a very reasonable price. Richard was fun to talk with and he seems so happy to be welcomed into the neighborhood. I will definitely go back!

  16. Richard is a miracle worker!! He took my disastorously damaged 80's flashback perm (yes, your read correctly PERM) and gave me a transitional on my way to modern day cut and color. Richard has vision and is meticulous. You will not be disappointed!

  17. Richard does a great men's haircut as well. I went in a few days ago for a trim and he cut it exactly how I wanted.
