Well, we considered getting a couple burnt out lights under the L tracks on Broadway fixed a success, but fellow Uptowners, there is still work to be done. In this exact same area on Broadway between Wilson and Leland, there are now 7 lights currently burnt out on the underside of the CTA's L tracks. If you have been in this area at night, you surely know that more light in this seedy area is definitely needed. Give the CTA a call at 888-968-7282 and let them know that 7 burnt out lights in this area is unacceptable once and for all.

Let's Play A CTA Counting Game

Let's not forget the Wilson El stores are in shambles. Mostly empty, dark and filthy, they hardly act as a welcoming safe gateway to Uptown. We're talking major rehab that the CTA has been promising more than 20 years.
ReplyDeleteNot one single penny of TIF money was allocated to a complete rehab of the Wilson El Station that would have benefited everyone.
