Charges Pending In Uptown Beating

CBS2Chicago brings us this very unwelcome news:

Victim Suffered 'Extremely Severe' Injuries

CHICAGO (STNG) ― Charges are pending for a man who allegedly beat another man in an Uptown neighborhood alley early Tuesday, leaving him with "extremely severe" injuries. The incident occurred about 12:10 a.m. in an alley at 4940 N. Winthrop Ave. The two men, who know each other, began fighting, according to Lincoln District police Sgt. Rapa.

Don't think this was a gang thing because A) there were no guns used and B) the suspect was apparently able to go for a long period of time without charges filed and even went to the hospital to get checked out. Probaby two street folks who were hanging out in the alley drinking and started fighting. Not that that's any better...

  2. Oh, and there were only two people involved in this. I think the last one-on-one gang fight was between Bernardo and Riff.
