Play News-Star's 'Where Am I?'

News-Star hasn't had a chance to ask yet, but we're sure it will be all right if we run the occasional contest inviting readers to identify a location somewhere in Newsstarland.

We'll rustle up some kind of prize, maybe one of the plastic cups or bubbles that we've been giving away at block club parties this summer; or a free, three-month trial subscription to News-Star that's on the back of News-Star's business card.

Whoever the lucky winner is, perhaps you'll settle for this simply being one of the most memorable moments of your life, like when Aunt Bee took flying lessons on the Andy Griffith Show.

Send your guesses to lswanson@chicagojournal.com. (Hint: Tweet, tweet.)

  1. That's too easy. It's Alderman Tom Tunney Memorial "Hummer Point" along the lakefront. There is a little stand nearby where you can rent aldermanic knee pads by the hour or by the day.

  2. Thanks for the opening Monica.

Link to my 3 award winning posts on Alderbeast Tunney. Including his defense of public sex. Dumbass! It involves this very place.

I take every chance to link to this as at one point it was number three or four if you googled "Tom Tunney". I want to drive the number up. Just to irritate the neighboring alderbeast. Tommy.....do the right thing. Resign and move outta town.

Perhaps you can open your own private birding area. That would be ok. Then random closeted Republicans could stop by and get serviced in a non public place.

I have no problem with that. That's the key. In a private place.
