New Police Website

A reader who was at Block Club University this weekend tells us that the Chicago Police Department has rolled out a new website (CLEARpath). Go to http://www.chicagopolice.org/, which redirects the user to the new site.

"The Chicago Police Department's CLEARpath web site offers various online resources that help community members learn more about their Districts, Beat Meetings and Events, learn how to protect themselves against crime, report crime anonymously, get reports, and chat with the Department."

  1. But, if you need to find the phone number of your local station, good luck. I looked and looked and looked last week to follow up with a 911 call and couldn't find it. I was a little disappointed as it used to be much easier.

  2. I played around with ClearPATH last week. I couldn't find any information about the narcotics sweep conducted at 4500 N Magnolia about 10 days ago.

I suppose some arrests as part of ongoing investigations aren't reported to this system.
