An Uptown bakery was shut down Tuesday after city crews found live roaches and signs of mice infestation and blasted the housekeeping at the business as "nonexistent."
Mayor Richard Daley’s Dumpster Task Force closed Luck Foods, 1109 W. Argyle St., after multiple violations were found at the business, according to a Department of Streets and Sanitation release.
Several people called the city to complain about the sanitary conditions at Luck Foods, and when inspectors arrived the bakery was "filthy," the release said.
