We have a community paper that covers Uptown and areas north, and does it very well, the News-Star. Lorraine Swanson, the editor of the paper, would like it to be known that she welcomes the input and story ideas of Uptown's residents.

I've heard of this paper several times before, but have never seen one. Is it for sale? Or a freebie?
ReplyDeleteEither way they should look into adding it to the collection found at the bus & L stations. Or check with Borders to see if they would carry it.

I've not seen the News-Star available on its own. I've always read it online at http://www.chicagojournal.com/.
ReplyDeleteI know the Chicago Journal does print a few editions for the neighborhoods it covers, so look for the Chicago Journal in Uptown and the stories in it should be provided by the editor of the News-Star.
