'Fontana Grill' Coming To Wilson And Beacon

Checking out "EveryBlock" we came across a liquor license application for "Fontana Grill," the upcoming restaurant right on the corner of Wilson and Beacon at 1329 W. Wilson. We had heard they would specialize in Italian food, but that still remains to be seen. We look forward to welcoming "Fontana Grill" to the neighborhood this summer.

  1. If its true I will patronize the hell out of this place.
I'd love for a nice place to get a foothold in this area.
Magnolia restarant is great but we need some good stuff further west on Wilson.

  3. Also, Unique So Chique Restaurant next to Starbucks on Wilson is now open in the evenings and serving high tea entrees like "bangers and mash", "bubbles and squeak", vegan meatloaf and more!

  4. Some neighbors went to Unique So Chique Restaurant for brunch the other day to support Rob (the owner) since he is a neighbor. They said it is now their favorite restaurant in Chicago.

  5. Don't worry, Moolah, soon you'll be able to stop in Labor Ready's lobby and buy a bag of chips out of their vending machine!

  6. another step foward in the process... let's not forget in our times of despair, that we are still moving foward and there's nothing that Shiller or the gangs can do about it. It might get worse before it's all better, but their days are numbered.. it's as simple as that. Hang in there, folks!

  7. True dat, anon 7:27! Sometimes I get frustrated with all the hate directed toward Shiller about everything, NOT because there isn't plenty to be angry about--most of it true--but because the evolution of this neighborhood from crackville to relative safe haven is going to be a slow, long and hopefully steady process. It will not happen overnight, and if you really love the city and Uptown, you are going to stay for those reasons and not get pissed off more and more everyday because you don't see the immediate return on your investment in the form of increasing property value. It's gonna happen, but we all have to be patient and patronize every new business that deserves our support.
