The First Sign

A reader sent in the following photo showing a retail space for lease sign at the Wilson Yard site. Is it just us, or does anyone else wonder why the "sign of the beast" is in the phone number on the sign? Naw, couldn't be anything. We look forward to seeing a "Target Coming Soon" sign just like this.

  2. We just noticed that driving north on Broadway this afternoon. My partner & I both laughed out loud driving back home. We both thought that the W.Y. will be the new portal to hell with our incoming doom in 2012, or is '13, no...maybe 2015. "What a swell party this is..."

  5. i didn't notice the "666", but i did notice the sign when my fiance and i drove by this evening.

it looked to me like some digging had been done as well, but i think i've said that before, and it led to nothing.

  6. Has anyone gone to www.baumrealty.com to see the listing?

I tried, and it ain't there. In fact, the only retail space listed in 60640 is the Uptown Broadway Building.

So it may be a real sign, but it's advertising nothing but fantasies. Pretty typical of the entire Wilson Yard fiasco so far.

  7. How long until this gets tagged. It will be pretty funny that Shiller"s Tagging suport voters deface and not even know when they are working against the beast they voted in.

Also, the sign was suppose to say Govt. service space for homeless shelters available. Not Retail space. I am sure they will change it upon getting tagged.

Also, did anyone notice on Friday that Shiller's "Information" window looked like it had a bullet looking hole on the bottom of the window? So funny. I think this may be the third window in about 6 months. Whe will have to post all the flyers again. Hey Shiller, people cannnot shoot at a website, you dumb ass. Get with it

  9. I thought a senior citizen home was going there? 666 that's hilarious. Do anybody know about the business on the opposite side of the street? How will this affect them?
