The type of structural failure is up for debate. This is the L track bridge spanning Ainslie. Looks like an accident waiting to happen. Yet another example of the neglect anything CTA related receives once it enters Uptown. Our thanks to our roving Uptown photog.
Oh shucks, but they just ran out of money again fixing up Ravenswood and Lincoln Park. Too bad for Uptown again, and again, and again, .....
ReplyDeleteBy CTA standards for Uptown, that should be good for at least another 35 years.
ReplyDeleteWell Ron Huberman DOES live in the Uptown area, one would wish that there might be some hope for this area.
ReplyDeleteThe Wilson El station, as I recall, is one of the busiest of the over 100 El stations. Anyone know how to find out how much traffic flows through this station?
ReplyDeleteAnd where it ranks in use?
Monday, 3/24/2008. Huge group fight at the Wilson CTA EL stop, 4620 North Broadway.
ReplyDeletePolice are calling in back up and want a show of force.
Thanks for the Update, Craig. Now I wonder how Helen will spin this tonight? Surely it will not be "Truman wants more parking because faculty, staff and students find the Wilson EL stop a little decrepit and dangerous."
ReplyDeleteNo problem. The CTA station gives the women good fighting skills to use to ward off the sex offenders living across the street from Truman at the Wilson Mens Club and against the drug dealers out back at the Voice of the People buildling.
ReplyDeleteWhat? What? What? I'm not being PC again? Isn't it the truth?
