We came across a very cool website featuring architecture, streets, signs and other things lost to time in Chicago. "Forgotten Chicago" is a must for anyone who is a Chicago history buff. Uptown is even featured in two sections we came across. "
McCutcheon Terrace" is listed as one of the shortest streets in Uptown. The building at Broadway and Winona is listed as a "tied house" which was a saloon that served only a specific breweries' beer. Also be sure to check out the "Odds & Ends" section and then "Disused Turnarounds." Broadway and
Montrose is featured as well as the old "Look Out For Buses" signs STILL attached to the
blightpoles. We will add a link on the right or you can out "Forgotten Chicago"
here.
