Uptown Business Spotlight - 'Alma Pita'

"Alma Pita" on Wilson at Magnolia has been a staple for quite some time now. Alma specializes in Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisine so if that is something you enjoy or think you would enjoy, you should definitely check this restaurant out. Our favorite is the "Veggie Combo" (see pic below) which features homemade hummus and baba ganouj (ground eggplant), dolma, falaffel, and a salad. Portions are generous and Alma features great sandwiches and soups as well. "Alma Pita" hours are 11am-9pm Monday through Friday and 11am till 8pm on Saturday, and closed on Sunday. You can order ahead or for takeout at 773-506-ALMA.

  1. Alma Pita is wonderful. Alma and Hajji make the best food, and welcome me like a long-lost relative every time I go in. Falafel plate is my favorite.

It always tickles me to see Alma Pita sitting next to Starbucks, Unique so Chique, and Magnolia. Uptown's diversity at its finest. Alma and Hajji are some of Uptown's real pioneers.
