An "Uptown Update" reader writes in to tell us that there is a 3 foot deep open sewage hole near her home on Winthrop just west of Kenmore. It has been open for months and many kids walk down Winthrop on their way to school. This is not helping our rat situation either. City of Chicago, please get this fixed ASAP.

Open Sewer Hole Needs Plugged Pronto
An "Uptown Update" reader writes in to tell us that there is a 3 foot deep open sewage hole near her home on Winthrop just west of Kenmore. It has been open for months and many kids walk down Winthrop on their way to school. This is not helping our rat situation either. City of Chicago, please get this fixed ASAP.
