We came across this photo on the "Chicago L. org" site from the IRM Collection courtesy of Peter Vesic. The photo was taken in the spring of 1961 on the Wilson El platform facing north.
Its not just you Brendan. The same CTA light poles are still there, now just white and leaning, and barely attached to the same rotting wooden platform. It would be interesting to see a current day shot from the exact same location. Maybe one of our readers can do that and send it in to us.
Is it just me, or is it remarkable how *little* has changed?
