Pop-Up Art Gallery and Program Next Monday: "Some Of My Best Friends Are Colored"

On Monday, May 15th, Emerald City Coffee on Wilson will be the spot for a pop-up art show and performances, part of the On The Table citywide discussion groups sponsored by The Chicago Community Trust. It will be a night of discourse, coloring, and live music.

Your hosts will be Uptown's Lowell Thompson (who will give away some of his self-created coloring books), along with Fabiola Ramirez and Cassaundra Sampson.   The focus of the eventing is to allow people to see past black and white -- Lowell says, "Why wish for a colorblind world when rainbows are so beautiful?"

The Facebook event page is here, with more information. Emerald City Coffee is located at 1224 W Wilson.
