25th Annual "Walk A Mile In Her Shoes" Fundraiser For Sarah's Circle This Sunday

From Ald. Osterman's weekly newsletter:

"Sarah's Circle Winter Walk: a Mile in Her Shoes is an important opportunity to better understand homelessness through the eyes of those who struggle with it first hand. Participants will meet at Truman College, 1145 W. Wilson, before setting off for a 1 mile walk through the Uptown neighborhood. While walking, stories are shared of women who have rebuilt their lives with the help of Sarah's Circle.

The walk will end back at Truman College where walkers enjoy a free lunch of Chicago-style hot dogs and refreshments. This event will be taking place Sunday, Feb. 26 beginning at 1pm. This is a family friendly event with a shortened route and special activities for children. For more information, please check out the event website."

If you can't walk, you can donate instead.

Sarah's Circle would like to thank Baker & Nosh and Emerald City Coffee for donating hot chocolate and coffee to participants. Small business owners (specifically Terry and Bill, and Brian) rock!

  1. This from Alderman Osterman's office--lets put it in his ward then, not ours.
