TCF/Jewel Bank Robber Hits Uptown

She's previously hit the TCF branches inside Jewel stores at Broadway & Addison in Lakeview, and Broadway & Berwyn in Edgewater.  Today a female bank robber who apparently likes her thefts to be next to the produce section robbed the TCF in the Jewel at Montrose and Broadway, around 2:40pm.

She is described as 5'7", and around age 35.  If you have any information that can help the FBI find her, call 312-421-6700.

  1. How does she do it? Does she pretend she has a weapon?

    1. I am told that banks have their tellers just to fork over money in such situations and not resist at all.

  2. Looks similar to a girl who lives in the apartment building above Loving Heart Vegan. Then again, it's just conjecture. The jacket she is wearing is somewhat ubiquitous.

    1. If it's just conjecture, why post this at all? How would you feel about people posting false accusation about you online?

  3. Usually the FBI give these serial bank robbers nicknames. It is suppose to attract public attention.

  4. DNA Info has some better pics.

Come on Americanlt if you can come up with a cool name like Mister Poochy for your mutt I expect you can come up with a nickname for this bandit.

  5. Robbing banks becomes like a addiction. Often times they will get away with a few but eventually will get captured. They end up doing serious Federal time and not "Cook County Justice" time. Pirate, I like the "TCF Terror" name.

  6. Did she have a vehicle? Was there a getaway car or bike? Did she walk out the parking lot?

  7. Using the full extent of my detective learnings (gleaned from late-night TV viewing), I have deduced that the getaway vehicle is most likely the #36 bus.

    You are welcome, Uptown.
