Tree Lighting, Music, Gingerbread... and Flowers

Wilson Avenue is THE place to be in Uptown tonight, with the Second Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Baker & Nosh (1303 West Wilson).  They lost count at 10,000 lights!  There'll be caroling by the most excellent Chicago Gay Mens Chorus, gingerbread, hot cider, and if you'd like something a little more "spirited," BYOB (quite a few people did last year).

The party continues next door at Forget Me Knodt Flowers (1303 West Wilson), where owner Janessa says, "We’ll have our weird Christmas playlist blasting on the sound dock, we’ll probably be wearing Santa hats and dancing around with flowers, and we’ll also have some old-skool snax (I’m making something from my family’s cookbooks called “Gramma Dickie’s Cheese Ball”) available to keep you sustained through the cold weather.  Oh. And hot buttered rum. But you didn’t hear that from us! We’ll have all kinds of unique, hilarious, pretty things for you to take home and cross off your list!"
