Pegasus Players Presents BLACULA: Young, Black and Undead

Last year for Halloween, Pegasus Players did a staged reading of BLACULA, an original story based on the camp 1970s movie of the same name.  Now, they're going bigger and better!  The 2014 season kicks off with the World Premier of BLACULA.

"PEGASUS is proud to present Reginald Edmund's new play.   In time for the holiday season kickoff, Pegasus is about to unleash on Chicago Edmund's haunting, hilarious tale about an ordinary man confronting extraordinary, supernatural circumstances.

It's about becoming undone, undead, and moving to Chicago. Franklin Park, a young, educated African-American seeks to establish himself as a prank designer whose love life with Nicollet has hit the skids. When Franklin attempts to win back her affection, he discovers there’s a new man in the picture. To his horror and everyone else's disbelief, he’s a vampire. But not just any vampire.  He's an ancient African Prince of Darkness!

Watch Franklin Park enlist the help a strange vampire-slaying duo to help save the girl ... and maybe even the world. Featuring an amazing cast!

Starting October 29th at Chicago Dramatists
1105 W. Chicago Avenue (street parking available)
Tickets: $18-25!"

You can buy tickets here.  The show runs October 29th through December 1st.

In one of their mailings, Pegasus says they hope to return to Uptown, where they've been loved for decades, and will make the announcement about their new home soon.  We can't wait to see them back where they belong.
