Clarendon Park Dog Park Meeting

If you have a dog, or live near Clarendon Park, please plan to attend a meeting on Wednesday, May 12, regarding a proposed Dog Friendly Area (DFA) in Clarendon Park.  It'll take place at 6pm in the Clarendon Park Fieldhouse, right before the CAPS meeting at 7pm.

Attached is a draft showing the layout and location of the proposed DFA.  Click to enlarge.

  1. Love the idea of a dog park at Clarendon - and there some good folks working on the project. It will be a great place.

Hate how our alderman, instead of paying for it out of her aldermanic fund (which she says she doesn't use), is using this project to sweeten the bitter pill of another TIF.

Note: The park will only run about $100G.

How much will a Maryville TIF cost us?

  2. I seem to recall that a few residents agreed to this dog park so that Helen could later claim she got community support for the TIF that’s paying for most of this. I’m all for a dog park. I’m not for selling out what’s good for the entire ward to get one, though.

Is there any way we could get some published notes about who agreed to this deal with Helen? Because it was a behind the scenes meeting, could we still FOIA it?
