There's a new Mexican grocery store/fruteria right next to the S&L Pantry, at 4757 Sheridan. We imagine it will serve the same clientele as the now-closed Mi Rancho just a block south. Best of luck to Anadeisy!
This has been a vacant for sometime. Please go in and buy something, even if it is just a few dollars. This is a corner of Uptown that really needs to be reclaimed by the residents....
I dropped by yesterday to get some queso fresco and the owner told me that he was planning to cook a big pot of carnitas at the store next sunday. I imagine that they are going to be very very tasty.

ReplyDeleteI went in yesterday. The store is clean and well-organized, and has many products from Latin America. I bought some cookies and they were yummy.
