The CPD just made some changes to its command staff. The very popular Cmdr. Sean Loughran from the 20th District (everything in Uptown north of Lawrence) has been promoted to Special Functions Commander.  We will miss him.

The new commander of the 20th District is Brendan McCrudden.

He was a lieutenant in the 009th District, sergeant for the Area North Detective Division and a Mobile Strike Force Sergeant. He was also assigned to SWAT and the Special Operations section. McCrudden also teaches students about policing and community relations at Norwood Park School. He earned a Master’s Degree in Public Safety Administration from Lewis University."
