Suzanne Elder On NBC Nightly News

A reader tipped us off that Uptown's own Suzanne Elder (and daughter Sophie) appeared on an NBC Nightly News report this week about a possible cure for Type 1 diabetes. Check it out here.

  1. I can't wait for the day Sophie invites me to her Chocolate eating party.

  2. Well hopefully they can get type 1 diabetes in check.

I would also like all of us to be aware of a serious danger facing all of us in Uptown. It is called billyjoeiossis. The symptoms need to be treated ASAP. So if you or any of your family members are experiencing one or more of the following...

Lack of intelligent thought, verbal diarrhea, depression, lack of social networks, uninspired life, suburban living, hatred for Rogers Park, paranoia of gay cruisers, & male patterned baldness you may be suffering from billyjoeiossis.

It is said 1 out of every 10 men in Evanston are suffering from this dreaded condition. Please donate today.

  3. Chip, the best cure would be to ignore it. Eventually it will go away! The symptoms only occur when prompted. Maybe then this disease will bother its own people on an Evanston blog.

  4. Thank you Chip! Though as hard as it is to try and ignore "it", just do your best like the rest of us. Or just come on over for a beer and smoke before you loose your head. So we can just laugh at "it"!
