The dining scene along Wilson Avenue in Sheridan Park has been growing like mad with Kal'ish, Longacre and Pokiology. Now we can add another dining option to that list!
The former Fontana Grill space at 1329 W Wilson has been vacant for years, with the outdoor patio space practically screaming for someone to open a business that would utilize it to its full potential. Jared Leonard, owner of The Budlong Hot Chicken and BBQ Supply Co., has had his eye on that patio and is now opening a concept that blends the menus from two of his businesses.
Leonard plans to open a Budlong that serves up his famous hot chicken, as well as BBQ from his popular BBQ Supply Co. and cocktails. The design and permit process has begun and construction should begin by November. No opening date set, but by next summer, we can likely look forward to dining al fresco on some delicious chicken and BBQ, and cocktails.
