Don’t have time to browse through the school supply aisle? The next time you are at Staples or Target, simply purchase a gift card. Mail it to: 46th Ward School Supply Drive, c/o Alderman Cappleman, 4544 N. Broadway, Chicago, Il 60640 and we will do the shopping for you! (We are unable to accept cash donations at this time as we are still in the process of filing for 501(c)3 status.)
UU Note: The 46th and 48th Wards have schools with a very high number of students living in poverty. If they don't have school supplies, they either fall behind academically, or their teacher must purchase supplies out of his or her own pocket. If you can help either of these scenarios from happening, your help would be very much appreciated.
"A life isn’t significant except for its impact on other lives." Jackie Robinson
