Catching Your Drift

This was taken just after midnight from a highrise overlooking inner and outer Lake Shore Drive, looking east toward the lake.  The northbound lane and off ramp to Montrose Avenue is barely visible.  The Southbound lane is completely obscured by snow.  In the next half hour, both lanes completely disappeared under blowing snow.

At 6:30 a.m. the city started hauling cars from LSD northbound on the southbound lanes and then out to Montrose Harbor.
