A reader sends in the following pic and question:"I make my way over to Pollo Loco quite a bit and have been wondering about the scaffolding around the Sheridan Plaza building at Sheridan & Wilson. Correct me if I am wrong, but I imagine the scaffolding has been up for at least 2 years now. There is no discernible work being done on the building and the lighting under the scaffolding is less than sufficient at night. Why is this building left to crumble? Did they run out of money to fix it? Hope you can post this on your site."
The scaffolding should be gone by September, so I was told. We will see.

ReplyDeletePaten Construction was issued severl tickets for Canopy violations back in April, nothing major. Is thee a cross street Wilson address?

ReplyDeleteUptown Girl is correct: Sheridan Plaza Associates II, LP entered into a consent decree in July of 2007 to bring the exterior wall into full compliance by 9/1/2009.
When I was running the Unique thrift across the street they always had the scaffolding up and I never seen it being used. about 5Years ago. I remember some guy, a few years ago, fell out the window and landed on the scaffolding dead. Some say he jumped and others say he was pushed.
