Certainly, he doesn't owe this to any one individual, but UU coalesced to support his candidacy before I even lived in this hood.
I'd just hate to see that all dissipate. Snarky spiteful marauder posts aside, our next alderperson will need to know Rule 41 from Rule 40 from Rule 42, and while none of this means a whit to me, I'd hate for the institutional knowledge from a three-termer to simply disappear.
Thanks, Capp, please leave some notes.Anonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09427312583714675522noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1957537260422450632.post-23212626292109889642022-11-17T11:53:20.379-06:002022-11-17T11:53:20.379-06:00Curious if Uptown Update will be a mouthpiece for ...Curious if Uptown Update will be a mouthpiece for the next alderperson...Or is this just a vehicle for Cappleman to explain away his failures of the 46th?Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01383090416189920800noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1957537260422450632.post-20723503652001938552022-11-17T10:32:17.695-06:002022-11-17T10:32:17.695-06:00Sorry but I'm always suspicious of these taxes...Sorry but I'm always suspicious of these taxes that help fund this or that. I never see reports or data showing that the tax is indeed being used for the purpose and is successful. The rich can afford a point or two more, but I just wonder will the money be "escrowed" and in a lock box so that it goes where intended. And how successful will it be. I have no problem with the tax increase being put on the ballot and let the residents vote on it. I would vote yes, with a caviat - who's going to watch the funding?Liannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11825878578990955489noreply@blogger.com
