Universal & the set designers have been HARD at work for 3 weeks converting Lincoln Ave by the Biograph back to 1930's. AMAZING level of effort. Just got the flyers this am restricting parking for PE shooting on 5/23 and 5/27-5/30.

Yeah they were filming in the Aragon 2 weeks ago... there seemed to be 60-70 crew people milling around all over the place, lighting trucks, buses and the like... and within 8-10 hours they were gone like dust in the wind.

Filming has been postponed at all Uptown locations. Friday the 16th they will be filming one day only. First to second week of June they will return to finish the Aragon and Bridgeview shoots.

Is he really going to be there tomorrow I thought he had two more days in Wisconsin? I am really exctited because we asked him for an autograph in Aurora and he apologized and told us he would do it later and then he said come back. If Johnny Depp tells you to come back you better know we are coming back. His bodyguard is kind of grouchy and his name is Jerry and he drives a black suvwith tan on the bottom/

This movie sounds like it is going to be terrific. Some of our friends in northern Wisconsin hosted the crew (Depp included but still noone felt compelled to invite me!!) when they were filming up there. It seems as if the producers & location scouts have gone the extra mile to find authentic locations.

And, the rotunda at Bridgeview Bank (why couldn't you have continued to call it the Uptown Bank?????)is seriously gorgeous. When Chicagoans see this movie, they will probably be shocked to realize that much of the sets are places that still exist today. Wouldn't it be nice if we had a movie palace or where they could screen the film? :(
