Winter Is Coming! Last Day To Contribute To Winter Wear Drive By Friends of the 46th Ward Schools

Today is the last day to contribute to the winter clothing drive being held by Friends of the 46th Ward Schools.

Winter wear, including coat, hats, scarves, and mittens, are being collected for students of the public schools located in the 46th Ward, most of whom are economically disadvantaged, and a high percentage of whom are homeless. Last year, two-thirds of the students at McCutcheon, one of the schools served, lived in homeless shelters.

If you can help, either with cash, or a purchase from the Amazon wish list (coats as low as $8!), or by dropping off supplies, you will have helped a child stay warm as he or she goes to school during the winter.

You can
Whatever you can do, if anything, is greatly appreciated. And it's tax-deductible, too!
