  1. It always amazes me how suspicious people can walk the streets and unsuspecting neighbors can see them and not think to call 911 and ask for a squad car. I think it's because of "racial profiling". Nobody wants to be accused ot racially profiling. The ACLU has done its deed very well.

    1. Someone being deemed as "suspicious" is very subjective. Some people view ALL black males as being suspicious. So you think the cops should be called on every person that is subjectively viewed as "suspicious" by you and other random people? That is a waste of law enforcement's time and tramples on the civil rights of many law-abiding citizens.

Not to mention, since you mentioned that being accused of racial profiling is the reason people don't report "suspicious" people, it's clear who you've already deemed as inherently "suspicious." It's freakin Uptown, man, there's weird people of all races wandering around!

    2. Often times 911 responders harass callers at will if they feel racial profile may be taking place. I don't fault the community for not calling 911. In non-emergency cases such as "suspicious activity" or "drug dealing" its treated as a low priority. The system is broken.
