A recent article on the WBEZ website mentions that Graceland Cemetery & Arboretum recently rescinded its prohibition on bikes on its 120-acre property. It's a gorgeous place, and not heavily traveled by car. So if you're looking for a site for a quiet ride, enter the gates at Irving Park and Clark. Graceland's hours are limited -- 8am to 4pm weekdays and 9am-4pm on weekends during fall and winter -- and maps are available online.
As with the smaller St. Boniface Cemetery (Clark and Lawrence), which is also open to cyclists, visitors are requested to be respectful of families and mourners who may be visiting their loved ones there.
