Get Rid Of Your Old Personal Papers, Electronics, & Books On Saturday

Want a little more space in your place? Saturday is the day!

Rid your home of unused electronics, have your personal papers shredded, and donate your books to a great cause!

  • There will be on-site paper shredding and collection of electronics for recycling at Ald. Cappleman's office between 9am and noon. Come to 4544 North Broadway, right across from the BMO Harris Bank drive-through lanes.
  • Friends of Bezazian will be collecting books, DVDs and tapes for their next book sale. Bring them to the library (1226 West Ainslie, immediately west of National Car Wash) between 10am and 2pm.

If you still have more shredding, Ald. O'Connor will sponsor another shredding event next Saturday, August 5th, at the 40th Ward Sanitation Office, 5333 North Western, 9am-noon.

  1. What sort of electronics can be recycled? Computers, monitors, etc? Or....??

  2. The only restrictions seem to be that they are not accepting lead paint, fluorescent bulbs, or hazardous waste,
