If you're an Uptown history buff, circle Saturday, June 3rd, on your calendar. That's the day that Buena Park Neighbors will offer free sidewalk tours of the Hutchinson Street Landmark District, showcasing the architecturally significant mansions that literally put Buena Park on the map.

With most homes having been built between 1894 and 1918, the city says, "this street contains one of the city's best collections of Prairie-style residences, many of which were designed by noted architect George W. Maher."

The tours will leave the corner of Hutchinson and Hazel every half hour between 1pm and 3:30pm, and will last 30 minutes.

Buena Park Neighbors is a 46th Ward neighborhood association of more than 200 residents, businesses and not-for-profit organizations in the nationally registered Buena Park Historic District. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for everyone in Buena Park.
