Missing Woman, Age 67, New To This Country (Updated: Found!)

Update: The CPD says she was found Friday and has been safely reunited with her family. No other details were available.

Original Story:  Nurit Getahun, age 67, is missing from the 4600 block of North Avers in Albany Park. What makes this Uptown-centric is that Ms. Getahun is newly arrived to the United States from Ethiopia and speaks no English. Given our community's large immigrant population, we want to spread the word about her disappearance and hope someone has a connection that will lead to her safe return.

Ms. Getahun is 4'2" tall and weighs about 125 lbs. She has brown eyes and brown hair. She was last seen on March 17th.
