For more than 20 years, Pensacola Place (at the SW corner of Hazel and Montrose) was home to Pensacola Cleaners, a family-owned business. The ongoing redesign of the building has meant that the first-floor businesses located in the Hazel lobby have had to move out (townhomes will take their place).
Devoted customers of Pensacola Cleaners will be pleased to know that they are still around, just a few doors away from their long-time location. Sporting a new name, TAE CLEANERS is now located at 4411 North Hazel, across Montrose. Same family, same great service.
The hours are 7am-7pm Monday through Friday, 8am-6pm on Saturday, and closed on Sundays. The phone number is 773-506-7577. The first day at the new location was Monday.
We are glad to know that a long-time locally owned business is remaining in Uptown, and so close to its previous location. Thanks to the owners of Food Town -- a long-time family-run business itself -- for helping spread the news.
