The beloved "Indian Chief" building at 4629 N. Broadway is finally getting some long over-due TLC. We've been following building permits that have been issued for this building showing $25,000 in work slated for the space. Not long ago, the two storefronts were combined into one large unit, electrical upgraded, all new walls and flooring were also installed.
That must have done the trick.

More details to follow as they become available. Interesting to note that the architect listed, Artur Kaczmarek, is with "Bugaj Architects" who are also the architecture firm listed on the American Indian Center apartment conversion west of Ashland on Wilson.
